I have been eating Quorn for years now (I’ve been a vegetarian for 16 years) and love that you are constantly adding new products to your range! My favourites have to be the chicken style pieces & the mince as they are so versatile but I have to admit, I’m totally addicted to your Broccoli & Cheese Kievs too!! :-) However, the biggest moment in my ‘Quorn history’ was when you brought out the Quorn Turkey Roast. Christmas has never been the same since!! After years of limp, tasteless Nut Roast, the Roast was a breath of fresh air! I’m delighted that more & more people are turning to Quorn as a healthy eating option too - the more customers you have, the more your product range will continue to expand!! Hurrah!! Keep up the good work Quorn!!

i truly love your products, i’m eating less meat products, the taste is so good and the variety of ways to use your products is great. Wish i could find a store that carried more variety of your products. Keep up the great work

Today my car was in detention, i.e being serviced and MOTd, and I had an appointment to which I normally would have driven. So I walked to it, and then before walking home again, nipped into the small supermarket to get something for lunch more than my usual soup. (The walk was terrific, but didn’t half raise the appetite!) I spotted some Quorn sausages, and was pleased to see Cook from frozen on the pack. So off I went home and pan-fried the Quorn sausages and lots of nice mushrooms (wiped and quartered), then kept them hot while I added cherry tomatoes to the pan and an egg. The baked beans were heated separately; they were, erm, the ‘icing on the cake’!!!

My conclusion: EXCELLENT! Who needs bacon - not me. This was a bit of a re-discovery of Quorn, and it’s a bit spooky that your email came in a couple of hours later! The Q-bangers are really tasty, particularly good with the mushrooms, don’t ooze horrid meat fat, and the overall meal was undoubtedly far fewer calories than it would have been with the meaty options. WIN WIN WIN.

My next Q-sausage effort will be with mash, onion gravy, and mushrooms and tomatoes again probably. And I predict now it will be excellent. After that I shall become more exploratory. Look out, (Quorn-loving) world!

I really like Quorn products but my source is limited. I can only find about 4-5 of your products and thus unable to try the rest. I live in Michigan and cannot afford to drive 50 miles for your products.
Too bad nothing closer. It would be really nice if I could buy direct from somewhere.

    Thanks

I never knew going meat free would taste so nice. I used to get terrible acid indigestion after eating mince, feel uncomfortably bloated after sausages to the point where i didn’t enjoy my meals - and i wasn’t losing any weight no matter how much i trained so i decided to try Quorn - lasagne never tasted so good and even my son who is a very fussy eater due to being a very poorly baby and never keeping his solids down now loves spaghetti bolognese, chicken nuggets and chicken burgers. I have also managed to drop half a stone. Thank you Quorn you really have helped my family enjoy our food.

Our whole family became vegetarian in the early nineties but it was a non-vegetarian friend who introduced us to Quorn shortly after it came on the market. She chopped Quorn chicken into tiny pieces, marinated it in spices & oil and cooked it for only a few minutes. It revolutionised our eating from then onwards!

Hi, having been veggie for donkeys years I have always found quorn really useful. However I have now become wheat intolerant & find the range of quorn products I can eat is now very restricted. How about more wheat-free products? There are a lot of us with this problem about!

I find Quorn to be the best vegetarian product. I serve many of the products to my meat-eating friends and they think it is delicious. I tell them, later, that it is not real meat. I have had several of my friends giving up their meat and trying Quorn.

We’ve been veggies for years but were getting a little tired of beans, the blandness of TVP and there you were, sitting in the chiller cabinet just waiting to be tasted. We haven’t looked back since and have tried almost every Quorn product. Our favourite are Quorn Roast and Quarter Pounders. The family say a hearty ‘Thank you’ for being there.

You know, I really can’t remember how long ago I started eating Quorn. I stopped eating red meat over 10 years ago now. It’s been a long, long time!
I adore Quorn and there’s always tons of it in our freezer. It’s still by far my favourite veggie ‘meat’ :D

My sister and I had been veggies for over 5 years. One day we decided to buy a Quorn roast for Sunday dinner. We both really enjoyed it, but later that day we decided to have some supper. We buttered (bestest butter!) some thick white bread, sliced the cold Quorn roast, added a little salt - when we tried it we were jumping round the room, giggling like girls, - cold chicken sandwiches!! WOW!! I’ve never looked back. Thanks Quorn.

I started eating Quorn years ago when I was a vegetarian and although I am no longer a vegetarian I still eat it as it a low fat alternative to meat. As I attend Weight Watchers it would be helpful if you could include the calories and saturated fat per portion in your delicious recipes so I can easily work out the points values.

I’ve been veggie for almost 20 years, as soya was so yuck most things I ate were cheese based - not exactly healthy! When Quorn chunks came out it made such a difference to my meals, I could eat normal food!! I love the choice you get now, being veggie isn’t such a hardship. Quorn roast, tasty sausages (so much better than the meat ones), a ham sandwich even. Also my OH will eat my veggie meals without complaint and prefers quorn mince anyway. Eating at others houses doesn’t cause them so much trouble either which is great.

I love your mini savoury eggs - the vegetarian sausage meat is nice and spicy and they are low in fat which is an added bonus. Im going to go on a search for the mini kiev’s.

    keep up the great work
    many thanks

The first Quorn product I had was a Mince and Onion style pie they had in Sainsburys which I think was around 1984-1985. It was a wonderful thing and was huge, as I was the only Vegetarian in my family I had it for two meals.
It was under the Sainsburys brand with just made with Quorn, I think it was the first thing they did at all.
We did not have a Sainsburys where I lived so if I heard any relative or Work mate was going shopping to one I would give them the money to get me a pie. I still don’t think they have been bettered, but that may be my memory and the fact up till then I had had to make all my own stuff, grinding my nuts ha ha.
How easy it is to be a Veggie now with all the lovely products on the shelves. I love the Quorn Savoury Eggs but wish the ‘Pork Pie’ had a little more herbs and spice.

I have been eating quorn for 11 years so it is a huge part of my life as i use it at least once everyday. My favourites include the new steak and ale pudding, mince in my home made spaghetti bolognese sauce and im looking forward to trying the new mini kievs. I love the fact that quorn bring out new products so that the culinary lives of all vegetarians around don’t have to be bland and boring. Thank you to every one at quorn who help to create this yum-diddly-umpcious food!!

I’m 18, and my Dad has bought me up as vegetarian. I don’t know when we started eating Quorn - but for as long as I can remember I’ve been eating their chicken style nuggets! Now I cook loads of different Quorn meals every night. My favourite products are Quorn mince and Quorn chicken pieces, as they make so many meals (Lasagne and Chicken Pasta Bake coming up tops!). Quorn bacon is gorgeous fried and helps cure a hangover too. Quorn is great, and as long as it’s around I’ll always be buying it - I just wished my supermarket stocked the whole range as there are some products I’d just love to try!

A vegetarian family, we find the quorn range inspirational! We love using mince and chicken pieces to re-create Italian dishes vegetarian style (wish they were available in Italy). More please and break into the Italian market.

There have been lots of reasons that I find quorn products a staple item in my trolley each week, it is great value for money, low fat, good source of protein, has lots of different meal option and is amazingly versatile.

We are a vegetarian family and what with having two fussy teenage girls it is important to keep meals interesting and healthy. My personal favourites when having a few pounds to lose are the quorn burgers, they are great at being quick to cook (microwave well in no time!)add to pitta with salad and salsa and its makes a great low fat meal.

I have introduced quorn to many people young and old as an alternative low fat tasty option, long live the quorn!

Hi Karen – You are right, the number of people who are wheat or gluten intolerant is growing and this is certainly something we’re looking into for the Quorn range. Currently, most Quorn products contain some gluten since they contain either malt barley extract (brown products), or wheat ingredients, and other products contain added wheat protein – sausages, burgers, Deli slices, etc. In addition, all Quorn products are made in factories which handle wheat, so at this stage, we cannot guarantee that our products are free from traces of wheat and gluten.

Hi Beverley – we’re currently working on our website to ensure that all of our recipes include guideline daily amounts (GDA) per serving. GDAs are international dietary guidelines for the average daily amount of calories and nutrients that people need. Some recipes, like the Chilli con Quorn (http://www.quorn.co.uk/CMSPage.aspx?ssbid=456&rid=84) already have the GDA per serving but if there are any recipes you’re interested in particular, let us know and we’ll send the information over to you.

I’ve been having quorns for the last 6 years since I was introduced by my slimming class.
Slimming World (http://www.slimmingworld.com/) has so many recipes which most members cook regularly or we can have most of the quorn products which are synfree/low syns, which help us with weekly loss of weight.
    My favorites are:-
Quorn sausages, chicken dippers, chicken roast, minces frozen/chilled, burgers, quorn pieces, scotch eggs, fillets etc.

Thanks to quorn products I’ve managed to lose most of my weight (10st) and every week Quorn is in my shopping list.
Thank you for these different types of low in fat quorn products. Your web pages are very useful & helpful with recipe ideas- keep them coming…..
P.s. most supermarkets don’t stock enough/varieties of quorn products as there are a lot of people who are vegetarians/partly veggies like myself but I always have a stock of quorn in my freezer as it is so easy to cook in minutes.
    Thanks!!!!!

    Hi everyone

I run 3 Slimming World groups in the Eccles area of Manchester and your products are thoroughly enjoyed by my members. In particular the Swedish Meat Balls and all the Sausages.

They are low in fat, delicious to eat and fit in brilliantly as part of our weight loss programme.

Perfect for vegetarians and enjoyed by meat lovers too.

Keep up the good work :-)

I have eaten Quorn since it first came on the market. (I have been vegetarian for 20 years). I eat most the items, and really enjoy them, but have to say that the toad in the hole is disgusting!!! The family roast is the best, if you get the fake chicken one, but the lentil one is nasty. I am surprised they made this, as all of the other items they make are fake meat.

Hi Dean - we don’t make a Quorn lentil roast … we think you may be referring to the Quorn vegetable roast, which is currently only available at Sainsburys stores but they will be discontining this product shortly.

Hello- I have been a vegetarian for four years. I must say that Quorn has the best tasting products ever. I love all the great things you make. My meals are always complete I can enjoy my meals knowing that no animals were hurt in the process.
If you look in my freezer right now I have some great Quorn chicken.
Please continue to keep up the great work. The animals would thank you if they could.
Thank you again for helping animals and making dinner wonderful without hurting my friends the animals.

Hi - We’ve been Quorn fans since it was first launched. I kept an eye out for it’s initial commercial appearance as I worked for ICI at the time, and there was much publicity when it was first ‘discovered’ as a low calorie, high protein fat free product, by an ICI division (later sold on).
Pleased to see at last some decent publicity appearing, and the active website, as it’s always been underpromoted and has a far greater potential than it’s achieved so far. I will write separately with comments on the range, recipes I make etc!

I became a veggie at the age of 16 but started eating meat again when I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter (cravings) However I still don’t eat red meat and couldn’t live without my Quorn.

My freezer at the moment is hilarious. We have been taking full advantage of the £1 Quorn offers and you literally can’t open the drawer now for all the fillets, mince and pieces. It’s so versatile - my families favourites are when I make a curry with the pieces, Quorn and veggie pasties with the mince and cheesey tomato tops with the fillets.

The kids love the dippers in their lunch box and I am now desperate to try the mini kievs - when will they be coming to Kent?

Oops - so to answer the initial question (sorry I’m a rambler) I was introduced to Quorn when I was a veggie and saw someone in the Tesco queue in front of me with some of the ‘ham’. (legged it back into the shop to search it out) and that must be about 10 - 15 years ago now.

Proof! Quorn makes you more intelligent! What do you eat for Xmas dinner has to be the lamest question - ignoring the strangely obligatory, factory-farmed dead bird, isnt the rest if the meal mostly veg? Same question @ BBQs but then I’m not the one eating undercooked salmonella & char-grilled carcinogens. Bring on the minted “lamb” grills. No-brainer really innit? :-)

I LOVE quorn. Converting to Quorn from meat combined with a healthy diet and running has helped me lose 3 and a half stone. I eat so well now and make an effort to cook and experiment. There is so much you can do with Quorn and I even cook it for family members!!
